As an Industry team established by the GWIB, the Aerospace Industry Initiative Team is chartered with aiding in the development of the workforce within the Aerospace industry, and to make recommendations to industry participants, educational institutions, and government leaders to will foster a rich, productive pipeline of talent to further the industry within the State of Maryland.

The Aerospace Industry Initiative Team consists of Aerospace Industry Partners, is working with State Government Agencies to develop resources for educators, students and job seekers to inform and educate them about the opportunities in the Maryland Aerospace Industry.

For students, whether you are currently in elementary school, high school, heading off to college, or preparing to graduate and pursue a career, we hope to assist you in researching and making possible job choices and to provide information on how to prepare for a career in the Aerospace Industry here in Maryland.

For educators, we hope to provide information and resources not only on the various aerospace careers available, but to also provide information on the academic skills required of students today in order to succeed in a career in the aerospace industry.

For job seekers or career changers, in addition to employer and job opportunity resources, we have also compiled information on what it’s like to live and work in Maryland.  We have links for everything from housing, to transportation, recreation, health care and education.
